History Of Elite Scholars Christian Academy
"A negative thinker sees a difficulty in every opportunity. A positive thinker sees an opportunity in every difficulty."
Elite Scholars Christian Academy, , originally founded as Little Genius Preschool Academy in 2008 by Paula Mills, was born from a vision of blending faith and education to nurture young minds. As a wife, mother, and educator with over three decades of experience, Paula Mills was inspired to create a nurturing, faith-based learning environment while balancing her time raising her daughter. Although Christian values were always intertwined in the fabric of the school, it was during the renaming of the academy that the foundation truly began to be built on Christian principles, fully integrating these values into the curriculum.
The transformation to Elite Scholars Christian Academy marked a new era, where the curriculum was intentionally designed to align with Christian principles, empowering students not only with academic excellence but also with the spiritual guidance to live out their divine purpose. This partnership between the school and parents became more intentional, as both worked together to prepare children for their unique callings in life, fostering their development in faith, character, and leadership.
Following her daughter's high school graduation, Paula Mills pursued a Master’s degree in Education and earned her New York State School Counselor certification, along with New York State Teacher Certifications in Early Childhood and Childhood Education. In addition, she has become a respected Professional Development Specialist and Coach, providing guidance to educators, administrators, and families. Her dedication to education and faith is central to the academy’s mission, which aims to raise scholars who are academically strong and grounded in Christian values.
In its continued growth, Elite Scholars Christian Academy established the 501c(3) nonprofit organization, Elite Scholarship Foundation to support alumni pursuing higher education, furthering the academy’s mission of lifelong learning and service to God. The academy also launched the Elite Scholars Training Academy, offering in-person, virtual, and web-based professional development for educators, administrators, and parents, ensuring a shared commitment to fostering faith-driven learning environments.
As Elite Scholars Christian Academy advances, it remains committed to providing a holistic education that nurtures both mind and spirit. The school stands firm in its mission to cultivate scholars who will excel academically, lead with integrity, and live out their faith in every aspect of their lives.
